Nokia launches Lumia 620 |
Hardware giant Nokia on Wednesday unveiled its new Windows Phone 8-powered Nokia Lumia 620, pricing the device at $249. The sales of the latest Smartphone from Nokia will begin in January 2013 in Asia, followed by Europe and the Middle East.
The all-new Lumia 620 has a 3.8-inch touch screen with Nokia's Clear Black Display technology. This device runs on a dual-core 1GHz processor and has 512MB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage and support for Micro-SD card of up to 64GB capacity, along with 7GB of free SkyDrive memory.
Nokia Lumia 620 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Like its bigger siblings like Lumia 920 and Lumia 820, this device comes with imaging features like Cinema Graph and Smart Shoot. This Smartphone also has location and navigation features like Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive, Nokia Transport and the Nokia City Lens.
Powered by a 1,300mAh battery, the all-new Lumia 620 is powered by Windows Phone 8 and comes in seven different exchangeable shells, namely lime green, orange, magenta, yellow, cyan, white and black. The NFC-capable Lumia 620 will be able to play music by just tapping compatible accessories like JBL Play Up portable speakers and make wireless payments via the Wallet app. The Finnish manufacturer is also offering Nokia Music with the phone, which allows users to stream and download music, for free.
Earlier in the day it was reported that Nokia will partner with China Mobile to launch a version of its new flagship Lumia Smartphone tailored for the world's largest cellular market. China Mobile, the biggest operator in the world with more than 700 million subscribers, will start selling the Lumia 920T, the first phone to be based on Microsoft's new Windows Phone 8 platform in China's 3G networks.
